I have a workflow that has only one action: the Create Item action. I am getting the following error: "The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information." I have read previous posts regarding this error and I have checked that all the corresponding fields are of the same type.
When I view the Workflow Progress page and double click on the Create Item action, the window that pops up has the variable used for "Store new item ID in", highlighted in yellow and it is blank. It seems to be looking for this variable to already have a value, before it has created the item. The workflow variable is of List Item ID type.
Please suggest further possibilities for debugging and/or clarify how to successfully use the "Store new item ID in" field. Thank you!
